It’s #FinallyRyeday! In honor of the great horror film dynasty that is Friday the 13th, we present you with this week’s cocktail: Dr. Loomis.
Named after the mysterious, smart, but slightly mad doctor of Friday the 13th fame, Dr. Loomis is a balanced quaff: slightly smoked for an air of mystery, the luxurious body of rye carries a sanguine sweetness alongside a bitter bite. Watch your back – this one sneaks up on you when you least expect it.
1/4 oz Heering Cherry
1/2 oz Fernet Branca
2 oz WhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey
Spray of Ardbeg Scotch
Stir together first three ingredients with ice. Spray (or rinse) a rocks glass with Islay Scotch. Pour cocktail into glass. Sip responsibly. Cheers!
