Breaking News and a Double Gold (April)

To Our Beloved WhistlePig Friends and Family,
First and foremost, please take a moment to view this very important announcement:

What a year! Apologies to all for such a dilatory update. We are excited to relay many developments of past, present and future. The recent exploits of WhistlePig might indeed fill a novella, but we promise scriptory restraint in the interest of brevity!

In true WhistlePig fashion, this year started off with a bang. The WhistlePig family grew considerably, including the arrival of our CEO Raj Peter Bhakta’s new baby girl, Hannah. In recent months we have also welcomed a beautiful bevy of new Mangalitsa pigs.

Whilst our family grows, our pursuit of rye whiskey perfection continues. Construction on the farm and a brilliant new line of fine whiskies has kept us busy, but most importantly we are happy, healthy, and excited to share our tales with you.

We are exceedingly proud to announce that our Sauternes Finish, the first of the new collection in our Old World Series, took a distinguished Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This debut is the fruit of selecting and aging 12-year-old rye in rare European wine casks. Though limited in release, the Sauternes Finish (Madeira- and Port-Finished ryes to be announced soon!) showcase our commitment to innovation. They set the stage for a highly anticipated product – a first of its kind – later this summer.

We work towards offering our products everywhere connoisseurs can be found sipping exceptional spirits. Three exciting alliances with first-rate distributors in Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom expand our reach into the whiskey-loving world. Like our pioneering forebears, we have set our sights on the horizon, seeking uncharted territories in the quest to become the premier farm-to-glass rye distillery.

Though we may not enjoy the pleasure of seeing each of you in person this year, we hope to see many at two exciting partner events. Cochon555 is an event at which top chefs in many cities compete to create the best heritage-breed pig dishes. Upcoming cities include San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami, where you’ll find us pairing our Pig with theirs.
Art and car connoisseurs can find us at the Sports Car Vintage Racing events this year. Hosted at many major raceways across the country, the SVRA is where power and beauty mingle as rare, million-dollar cars race on storied tracks. Our CEO and founder is particularly revved up about this one, “There’s no better compliment to the bold taste of WhistlePig than the classic beauty of vintage racing cars.” – Raj P. Bhakta

Until our next encounter,
The WhistlePig Family
