Just like Duke Ellington and Count Basie, we agree that old standards are a mighty fine thing. But sometimes a cocktail comes along that really adds something new to the mix, and you hope it becomes a classic of its own. Bartender Geoff Goggin invented this drink for the Burlington, VT Cocktail Walk last October, and it’s truly a warming delight.
Vermont Fashioned
- 2 oz WhistlePig 10 Year Rye Whiskey
- 1/2 oz Gran Marnier
- 1/4 oz Chai infused maple syrup
- Dash of bitters
Stirred with ice and served with a spritz of Urban Moonshine Maple Bitters and flamed orange peel.
