Rye Heritage Countdown #27: Welcome to WhistlePig Farm

By November 4, 2015 Farm Life - Blog

We know country living isn’t for everyone. The lack of police sirens and absolute quiet can give some New Yorkers anxiety attacks, and the quiet rustlings of woodland animals may give rise to ghoulish visions of banshees and lunatics with chainsaws. But trust us when we say that creaking noise is just wind in the branches, and howling at the moon is a perfectly acceptable replacement for television.

At WhistlePig, in fact, we are immensely proud of our country life. Across 1,300 acres we have struck the perfect balance of wild forests and cultivated rye fields, of open horse pastures, bonfires, and maple trees primed for springtime sugaring. To share our idyllic vale with you, we recently commissioned fine artist Maria Rabinky to create a piece of stunning artwork showcasing the beauty abundant just outside Shoreham, Vermont. If you want to visit WhistlePig Farm every day, set this as your computer backdrop and you will be transported.
