Executive Assistant

WhistlePig Straight Rye Whiskey is looking for a full time Executive Assistant to the Director of Business Development, who is mainly responsible for hospitality development and planning WhistlePig Farm & Distillery in Shoreham, VT.  In addition to general administrative and PA responsibilities, areas of emphasis will include: new facility development, coordinating maintenance of existing design and structure on property, landscape architecture design, furniture selection, signage, and anything that is style and creatively related which enhances the personality and image of the WhistlePig brand.

Must be highly organized, able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks at once and be able to adapt to change.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Execution of all design related projects, including materials sourcing, price comparison, vendor selection and budget maintenance;
  • Scheduling, follow up, and oversight of multiple projects in an efficient and professional manner;
  • Administrative duties including purchase order handling, processing and tracking;
  • Coordinating maintenance and taking inventory of all fixtures, furniture, and equipment assets on property;
  • Local sourcing of new and replacement materials for projects;
  • Planning and coordinating executive schedules and travel;
  • Compiling expense reports and financial data;
  • Odd jobs from creating a photo album to planning a dinner party.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in a design or art field preferred;
  • Must be 21+ years of age;
  • Be able to work independently;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Willingness to tackle all sorts of tasks;
  • Skilled Microsoft Office user;
  • Ability to effectively communicate creative concepts, invention and ideas;
  • Highly organized, with extreme attention to detail while multi-tasking;
  • The willingness to take direction and the desire to gain and learn from real-life experience;
  • A great eye, combined with an awareness of style and functionality in hospitality, architecture, and interiors;
  • Experience working with tools/crafting is a plus.
